Thelma and Louise

Yep that is what I like to call them, they are together well pretty much all the time. Nikki is like my own, our families have been friends before either girls were born.  Nikki's dad was Roger's best friend, he passed away many years ago.  Ali and Nikki still remain the best of friends, and you never know what they are up to....just like their dads!!!

Quiet Saturday

 Yesterday was a quiet day for us, we did lots of work around the house but had minimal running to do (which is unusual for me).  I didn't get to stain the porch due to rain (we never got any until late!!) But we did get some work done.  Kynedy went to stay with a friend and Ali and Nikki came here to stay.  Top picture is a little more progress on the porch! Here are some juicy steaks I marinated for dinner...they were AWESOME!

Friends/Clubhouse/Artwork

This summer the girls are spending their days at camp here in town, we tried a new one this year and they both LOVE it!  Kynedy has met a few new friends around the neighborhood and has spent most evenings playing outside with them.  Ali has been resting after camp (notice her absence in my posts) I think camp is wearing her out!! Anyways, they are going on many field trips and doing lots of activities daily!  Kynedy and her friends spent one evening hanging out in a clubhouse they made in our yard.  It was almost 10 pm before I could get her inside.

Saturday morning Kynedy was up very early and excited to stay all night with a new friend she met at camp....so she went outside and occupied herself with chalk while she waited to go to her friends.

My Flowers

I won't get much time to spend on my flowers again this year, but I do have a few blooming!  I have posted a few photos Kynedy and I took.

 These are three growing very close to each other, they are gorgeous!

The Front Porch

While we are waiting for all the estimates to come in to repair the portion of our house damaged by the tree, Roger got busy finishing up the front porch. Eventually it will be screened in, stained and you'll just have to check back to see,  I will post pictures as we get more done.  This photo is old he has worked today on it also and hopefully we will start staining the wood tomorrow (if it doesn't rain).

Yep I am Still Here

I apologize for the lack of posts this last week.  Let's just say things have been a little too much for me to handle and keep up with my blog!  I am training for my new position starting July 1st, dealing with contractors and a huge mess in the yard after the tree fiasco, not to mention running my girls to their activities and working two jobs.  I do have tomorrow off and hope to find time between house work to post a couple pictures of the last weeks adventures. 

I know it won't happen anytime soon but I sure could use a vacation FAR AWAY!!  Anyways, stay tuned I will be back to posting.

Late Sunday Evening

As I have said the last few weeks have been more than hectic around our house.  So Sunday the girls wanted to make smores outside in the fire pit.  Well it was 10 before we made it outside to make smores, so it was short but fun!

Great Job Kynedy!

Kynedy finished another season of soccer last Sunday.  Here she is with her trophy.  Her team did an excellent job, just a few months before Fall season begins!!!
