Rebuilding the Porch!

This is the start of our porch. I will post more pictures as it is rebuilt.

Bye Porch

This weekend the front porch came down!! Roger spent most of Saturday morning tearing it down, it looks horrible at the moment but hopefully not for long. We started out with some sky light. And then lots of sky light!!

Tear down those walls!!!

This is what it looked like at the end of the day.

Volley for the Cure

Each year North and South play a game for the cure of cancer. This year Ali had a volleyball the same night. So they decided to play for breast cancer. They all wore pick shirts and socks. Ali spent hours the evening before painting her nails and putting in pick earrings. It was great to see her so excited to support a great cause. They played Chauncey Rose and JV and Varsity won their games. It was a great evening! Here is Ali and Logan sporting their pink shirts and pink ribbon face paint. Ali is getting down so her teammate can serve.

Chestnut

Well as I posted earlier I happened to take in an orphaned baby squirrel. The girls and I spent the week feeding it baby formula as I looked for someone to take care of him. Finally on Thursday I found an animal hospital who will rehabilitate it and let it free. The little guys other eye just opened on Thursday morning, he was only about 4 weeks old and has nothing wrong with him after the big fall from the tree. I got a little attached to him, he was very gentle and he knew I was there to feed him. After a few tears from Kynedy she was happy that he would be let free eventually and that we had taken him in and made sure he was cared for.

Kynedy Sue

Kynedy has spent many hours watching Ali play some kind of sport. Although she complains she is bored, she always seems to find a friend to play with. Here are a few photos of her and some friends she met at Ali's soccer game.

Ali's 1st Soccer Game of the Season

Ali had her first soccer game for the season Monday night, they did well and looks like they have learned alot since last year, I am looking forward to a great season. The weather has been just gorgeous and I love the pictures I get as the sun goes down. The first photo is my favorite!! Ali is number 7 this year. Here she comes~~

I love the power she puts behind her kick, it really is amazing!

Here she knocked the ball off her head to keep the other team from getting a goal, it was a great play!! And I was so excited to get such a great photo of it!

Volleyball

Last year we were beat by 2 in the County Championship game by Wilson. The following is the OC vs WW game, our JV girls beat them without a problem. Here are a few pictures of the game. Ali is up to serve here.

Front Porch

What A Huge Mess!!!! But it will so be worth it when it is done. We decided to have a screened in front porch which I am very excited about. I love to sit on the porch and feel a nice breeze in the evening. Before, the porch was home to mostly toys and building supplies so it will be a nice change to be able to finally use it as a front porch!! Roger went out and picked up the supplies to rebuild it and a new screen door!! I will post more pictures soon.

Our Huge Trash Pile!!!!!

Soccer has begun!

Kynedy had her first soccer game of the season on Sunday. She is in U10 now, they start playing in positions and with a goalie, so far she is enjoying the change. Ali and her friend Faith went to cheer Kynedy on.

Our New Friend

Well Sunday morning as I was casually doing my dishes I couldn't help but notice something moving in the yard. It was a flicking movement so I had to go see what it was. It was a baby squirrel who had fallen out of the tree and was injured.....I tried to leave it alone but just couldn't. So now it is living in a cat carrier on my back porch, I am feeding it baby formula and fresh veggies. I have tried to find someone who will help it, but no luck so far. I sure hope it survives and I can let it free sometime.
