Kynedy's Last Regular Basketball Game

The girls played a team of really BIG 5th graders yesterday, they lost but enjoyed playing against such big girls.  I thought it was her last game, only to find out she has championships next week.  She has learned alot and improved so much this season.  Great job Kynedy!!

SUNSHINE!

This weekend we had beautiful weather, low 40's and lots of sunshine, who could ask for more the end of January.  Today it is sunny and suppose to be around 50!!  YIPPEE!!!

Cheer Clinic for Kynedy

Saturday morning Kynedy attended a cheer clinic at South High School.  She did a great job learning cheers and a dance she will perform Friday night at a South basketball game.  I can't wait to watch her and of course I will post photos! (She is in the white shirt with blue shorts)

GREAT Basketball Season Ali!!!

Ali finished up her 8th grade basketball season Monday evening, we were up against Honey Creek and came out a bit behind.  Honey Creek went on to the championship to win for the 3rd year in a row.  Ali played a great game and truly enjoyed her last season of basketball at Otter Creek!  Kynedy also played a game on Monday evening with a 9 to 6 win in overtime, Roger attended so I have no photos.  She has one last game next Monday.  Ali is currently conditioning with Norths soccer team before her season kicks off the end of March.  I plan to enjoy a short break from sports until we hit the soccer fields in the spring.

 

High School....Here We Come!

Roger and I escorted Ali across the Otter Creek gym for her last game on home court.  It seems like yesterday we were going to orientation for 6th grade.  She has had three great years at OC.  She has played soccer, volleyball and basketball all three years for Otter Creek and done very well academically.  We will miss Otter Creek :(  Ali is not an emotional person unless it has to do with sports and she had a hard time keeping it together.  Here are a few photos of her big evening, thank you Kynedy for the great photos.  Ali...I am so proud of you...look out North here she comes!!

Otters vs West Vigo

This was Ali's last home game at Otter Creek, and it was the BEST game of the season.  Earlier in the season West Vigo beat us, not by much but enough!  The game was great both teams were playing well, we tied 20 to 20 and went into overtime.  Then West Vigo was ahead and then OC was leading.....well it reminded me of the 49'ers and Saints game last Saturday evening.  Anyways we won 30 to 27 in the end.  I was very proud of Ali she played the whole game and did GREAT!! 

Kynedy's Basketball Game

Kynedy is usually so easy going and kind but Monday she was on FIRE!!  She was so aggressive during her basketball game it was so different from her usual self.  She has played soccer 6 years and is very aggressive on the soccer field, but I had not seen this side during basketball until Monday night!! Great job Kynedy!!

AHHHH Quiet!

Just how I wanted my weekend....quiet!  The girls were busy going to basketball games and hanging out with friends throughout the weekend, while I cleaned and got some errands ran, watched some football and made some yummy loaded potato soup!!!  It started out very cold but by Sunday it had warmed up a bit. 

 I heard Kynedy say she was cold and next thing I knew she was covered with 22 blankets, 7 scarves and 7 pillows with help from Ali...it was hilarious!!

Otters vs Bees

We played Honey Creek on Thursday evening.  We lost but the girls did a great job, Honey Creek has an awesome team!   Ali was great on defense and made some really good shots.  Next week will be Ali's last home game at OC, I can't believe she will be in high school!
