Saturday Game Day

AJ LOVES candy land, I mean he even sleeps with it!  We played big and little candy land, monopoly jr., hungry, hungry hippo and jenga all day Saturday!  I will for sure need to buy more games.

Time is Flying By

What happened to December and now January?  All is progressing well, Roger is healing, gaining some energy back, and getting a bit bored. I am just happy he is feeling better and looking forward to him being back to himself soon.  AJ stayed the night this weekend, we stayed in a played with his toys all evening and ate pizza.  He was not feeling the best and woke up through the night with a pretty high temperature. He seems to be better and headed to school this morning.

This was last week, it is looking better already.

You can tell by his eyes he was not feeling the best, he just can't catch a break when he goes back to school.

 

Back to Work

Last week was my first week back to work after the long break. Roger is home continuing to heal, he is ready to get back to normal. Sunday I picked up AJ and we played the whole day.  I sure missed our weekly afternoons together.

TGIF! I am ready for the weekend, AJ will be over to hang out on Sunday and I can't wait!! He stayed all night with us last Friday and played with all of his toys from Christmas.

Happy New Year

We did not have a big celebration, we brought the year in by getting some extra rest, and just being thankful for another year together!   I am still catching up from last year, so I am posting gifts I received for Christmas. Hope 2022 is a good one!

Christmas at our House

We had our Christmas as a family Sunday, January 3rd.  It was a bit different but we were all thankful to be together.  We ordered pizza, opened presents and had a great time.  Roger was really wore out but stayed up for most of it.  I love my little family!

Roger is recovering nicely now, but sure went through a very scary surgery.  Here are more photos of his battle wounds.  I am so happy and proud of how well he is doing.

 

Santa Arrived

 What JOY it brought me to see AJ's face when he woke up Christmas morning, it is indescribable.  I hope I can do this a few times with my grandchildren.   AJ had an awesome Christmas, he opened his gifts, had breakfast, and headed to his Nonnie's for gifts and food.  I spent the day with Roger in the hospital, and we had a turkey dinner together watching TV that evening.  Not the typical Christmas day for sure, but I am thankful for it just the same.
