Santa is Coming

After some fun at Shari's we stopped by Monique's for a short visit.  AJ got to open an early gift and enjoyed helping Nonnie make Christmas dinner.  Then we headed to AJ's house to put out milk and cookies, get to bed, and wait for Santa.

Sweet AJ Christmas eve all tucked in.

Christmas Eve with Shari and Family

We were invited to stop by Shari's on Christmas Eve.  After spending most of the evening with Roger, I stopped by for some food and fun.  Wow......it felt like 2001, we spent every weekend with the Kelty's hanging out, cooking and just spending time together, we all definitely had a great time.  The boys have a wonderful time playing, it sure brings back some memories.  Lexi is doing awesome and Lynn and Jack visited also.

We played a reindeer antler game with balloons and pantyhose, and of course Shari made some delicious food as always.

Lexi looks great!
The boys enjoyed building oreo houses

Blessed

While I was staying busy with Roger at the hospital.  My girls and AJ kept the tradition of making Christmas goodies together going. AJ enjoyed spending the day at the house and staying all night, although he missed his grandpop.  Christmas eve was a nightmare, Roger was in much pain, my mom was admitted to the hospital with covid and my brother was also in the hospital fighting covid.  Thankfully the girls and I were invited to Shari's to eat and spend time with her family Christmas eve.  It was a much needed down time from the stress, she for sure is a blessing to my family!! We stopped by Monique's for bit to celebrate, and then I headed to Ali's and Ashton's to spend the night with AJ.

So proud of my girls, they are wonderful adults.
AJ received a couple early gifts

Rough Time

Although Roger's bypass was a success it sure was a very scary day for us.  I think the Lord he did not take him and all ended up ok. Also thank you to my girls and Shari for being there for Roger and I.  The 21st was a very long day and evening, but I am thankful where we are today.  Roger is recovering very well and returning back to himself. We are keeping things quiet for the most part so he can heal, he is taking lots of naps and getting much deserved rest. The photos just show a brief picture of all the machines hooked up to him.

After almost 5 days in ICU he is looking better day by day.  I am so happy he is still here to continue our story!  Love ya Rog!!

December

As time went by fast December was a different month for my family, a month of scary anticipation for a safe and successful surgery for Roger.  Things just didn't feel right, trying to celebrate and prepare for a major surgery are not easy to plan together.   The girls and I kept it as normal as we could but we all knew it was different and unknown.  We decorated the house, put the tree up and made the best of the shitty month ahead.

I LOVE Christmas trees

We gave Roger a few gifts before his surgery!  I LOVE this photo, Kynedy bought him a Bears chef hat and apron.

Christmas with Grandma Shelby

We all got to finally celebrate a holiday with Roger's mother. The last few get togethers have been  on days our family had previous plans.  It was nice to catch up with her and AJ had a blast playing with his gift.

Big hugs

Wow...it is January 2022

We had a very eventful December, and I am going to try to catch you up as I can.  These photos are from mid December, but feel like they were taken yesterday.  Time went by quickly and before we knew it January was here.  I can't say this was our best December but we made it through. I hope to fill you in with details soon.

Here is our tree before all of the presents.

AJ and Kynedy made Christmas cookies

Sweet time in front of the tree before bedtime at Grandmom and Grandpops!
