The Little Things

It truly is the little things that keep us going.  We may not even notice it, until after the moment is gone.  I find myself stopping and just taking in everything about that moment and how it made me feel.  There is no better feeling than being with those who you love and calm your soul.  Watching my sweet Zelda girl sleeping so sound, the sunlight shining through my birds and through the window, sitting down for dinner and your grandson turns around and starts the conversation with "How was work Grandma"? A sweet text from my college age child, and your grown child planning and asking you to vacation with them.  These things, ALL of these things make life so glorious!

Sweet Zelda gets her stitches out today and has done great.
Her incision looks great!
At first, I wasn't too happy to have 6 new cats the neighbors left behind, but then who wouldn't want these sweet babies loving on you!  It is a lot, but we are managing.

AJ stayed all night Saturday, we watched some movies and spent time just hanging out, he is so grown up, looking forward to hanging on the beach with him!

He loves his ice cream sandwiches.

Wonderful Weekend

It was a wonderful weekend, full of soccer, outdoor fun and a movie!  Friday, I went to bingo and won a whole $1, it was fun, but I missed the girls.  I went to AJ's soccer game Saturday morning, mowed grass and made it to see the new Mario movie with Ali, Ashton and AJ.  AJ loved it and sat still through the whole movie. Sunday I was beat, I wore myself out on Saturday, so I napped and ran our laundry to the laundry mat, as our drain was not working.  Weekends are just way too short.

Ashton's family had photos done, this is my favorite.

AJ is really understanding the game, he has gotten a goal and almost had another this week, he is the fastest on his team and seems to really enjoy playing the game.

Cats, Cats and More Cats

Well, we all know I am a bit of a cat lover, and the cats seem to love me too!  In Feb. our neighbors decided to move out and leave all of their pets behind.  Well guess who has a bunch of stray cats living outside...me, AGAIN!  I am working on finding an inexpensive way to get them spayed and neutered as I am paying around $450 for Zelda. The cats are all very sweet and love people, I don't mind caring for them at all but worry something will happen to them.

Not sure what to name this one yet, but he is so gorgeous!

My sweet Zelda, next week she gets spayed.
One lonely tulip bloom

This is Bronx he was the first cat to make our porch his home, I got some really good photos of him!

He is so ADORABLE!
After the big yawn!

Meet Simon!  We have an Emma and a Kiwi I will try to get some pics this weekend.

Beautiful field of dandelions
Zelda is really growing fast; she is absolutely spoiled!!!  She can jump higher than any other cat I have ever seen, she follows you wherever you go and always has us laughing!

Easter Fun

We had a small celebration for Easter this year.  It was a beautiful day, we cooked out, made pasta salad, a poke cake and Ali did her charcuterie board.   We colored eggs, AJ got his easter basket and after lunch he went out to hunt eggs.  It was a wonderful day, spent with all of my favorite people!
French vanilla poke cake, it was yummy!
AJ's Easter basket was Sonic theme.

This disappears in no time!

And off to find easter eggs

He is so much fun!
