Quiet Weekend

We had a nice weekend.  Roger and I attended my office after Christmas party Friday evening.  We stay too busy around the Holidays to have time to celebrate, so we wait until January.  We were only missing one person in my department.  We had a BLAST, Roger had not been out since way before his surgery! It was truly a much-needed night out!  I am so happy to be back in my old department with my people, the library was not for me.

My mom was moved to a nursing home last week, so I spent Saturday getting her some necessities and visiting with her, she is doing good.  Sunday I also went to visit with her for a bit, so far, she is staying healthy!! Of course, I spent time with Zelda, and missed my little guy AJ though!

Zelda and her favorite toy, she always puts her paws over her eyes, it is so cute!

She is such a pretty Princess!

Stepping into Tuesday

It was a cold but beautiful morning, the sun was trying to rise and made for a gorgeous sky on the way to work!  I have been spending most evenings with Zelda on my lap, she is rather fond of hanging out with me, and loves to cuddle.

Mom was admitted again last night to the hospital, one week at home and she is sick again, I believe we are looking at some inpatient rehab.  Hope to find more out on my visit tonight. It seems a winter storm is predicted to hit tomorrow; we will just see what amount of snow we end up with. Stay in and stay safe!

This is the old General Houseware building they are in the middle of tearing down. It was a gorgeous sight this morning with the sky and the frost!

Basketball Saturday

AJ finished up basketball season this past weekend.  He played a very good last game!  He enjoyed learning the game and has become a lot more aggressive.  I can't wait to see him play again.  Soon it will be soccer season. He received a medal, cookie and a free happy meal.  We headed to McDonalds to celebrate the end of his season!

He was so proud!

Princess Zelda Update

Zelda is doing awesome; she has made herself right at home.  She loves to play with balls, loves snacks, knows when anyone has food, she prefers laying on me or beside me, she really likes Archie, and she had her first vet visit last week.  She weighs 2.5 lbs. and received her first vaccination, as well as treated for ear mites.  She did a great job at the vet; she didn't seem to mind the tests and vaccinations.

She is very playful, nosey and loves her people, I am so happy with her personality.  Can't wait to watch her grow!

The only cat that likes Archie

Love this picture of her.

Weekends Go Fast

Hello, it is Monday morning already!  Weekends are always so short and busy you never seem to have enough time to do all you need to do. We took it easy Friday night, AJ had a basketball game on Saturday, and then he came to stay all night with us!  After we played a few challenges and had to eat hot Takis for losing he settled in Saturday evening and watched SpongeBob!

He slept in a bit Sunday morning, and after many chocolate waffles, a chili dog and a few games, he and I headed to the gas station for a snack and slushy, and then we headed to his house.  I stopped by to check on my mom after I took AJ home, she is just not getting any better. Hopefully she will be able to make some doctor appointments this week and get some answers.

I headed home Sunday evening for dinner with Roger and to get things ready for the work week.  For Christmas Roger bought a cat tree for the cats and I caught Archie gazing out the window, which made for a beautiful photo.

Leo is such a sweet boy!

Zelda is doing just wonderful; she is very sweet and loves cuddles!
