Happiness

As things get closer to being back to what we call normal, I have to tell you how much I have really enjoyed having this time to slow down, so many years the girls and I were at one sports park or another throughout the week and about every weekend.  I LOVED it but sure am enjoying this new season of my life!!  I mean seriously my laundry is caught up LOL!! 

 I am thankful to have the option to work from home until the middle of June, to be able to spend more time with my family, in my garden and working around the house.  It truly is the "little things" that make life so wonderful!!  I love having the time to reach out to old friends and catch up, that holds a very special place in my heart and reminds me why I adored them all those years ago.  That will for sure happen so much more.  And BEST of all I have the option now to get in my car and go see AJ anytime I want..........I am BLESSED!! 

I have bought Sage and Bella some items and it has taken almost a month for them to arrive, these are just a few items, I am still waiting on a few items to arrive.  

I am so happy I am able to help out with the girls when I can. 

That is one thing that makes me happy..giving!

Saturday in the Yard

Saturday was a beautiful day so we headed out to do yard work. Roger mowed the lawn  and I burned sticks and worked in my flower garden.

These day lilies I planted are doing way too good, I have started thinning them out.  I sure wish it would stay warm.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all you momma's out there!! Being a mother and a mamaw honey is all I ever wanted!!  I have had a great day so far, I have spread some joy with some throwback photos I have came across, I am so thankful I have taken so many photos along the way.  

The best part about today is just about to begin, Ali and family and Kynedy will be here for tacos, and...….AJ STAYS ALL NIGHT! I am a bit excited if you can't tell.  I went to see my mom yesterday evening and took tacos for her and family, her bday gift from March and a mother's day gift.  I stayed outside on her ramp with a mask and visited, it was so good to see her.  I have included a couple of throwbacks of my mom from Rose-Hulman files. I LOVE that I have access to all these old photos!

2020 Who Would Have Known

If you know me, you know I love my family, nature, photography, and any type of animal!!  I was able to get out and take some photos the last week, and, well they are all featuring the above!!! I am working from home until May 24th as of now, just waiting for warm weather, time with my girls, my mother and AJ, and of course coffee with the best friends ever. 

I am going to take this time to brag about my girls...they met one of my best friends for the first time a month or so ago (it is so nice when your girls grow up to be your best friends). Billi LOVES my girls so much, and this makes this mama so happy to know I have raised two genuine, intelligent, respectful, determined and likable young ladies.  They both know who they are and don't try to be something they are not for someone else...GENUINE 💓  

This is a very important year for both my girls.  Kynedy finishing high school in February, academic and technical honors, member of the honor society and a 4.0 through her senior year! WOW! Poor girl the last couple of months have been something no one could really predict, she's got this!

Ali whose pinning was suppose to be in April until, COVID Ugg. She has worked amazing hard, over came so much, moving schools, pregnancy, working two jobs, raising a toddler, holding down a household, you know nothing big LOL.  I can't wait to see what the next year holds for both my girls.  Ali finishing nursing school and Kynedy starting at St. Mary's!!! 

I plan to spend as MUCH time as I can with AJ 😊, supporting both my girls, and being the best version of myself I can be! 

Life truly is a BLESSING and

Reunited

Boy did I get one of the best hugs ever on Saturday!!!It was so GOOD to finally see him, he went outside to swing, play in the sand box and his water table, he was thrilled!!  He named me Mamaw….I am so in love with it!

The ice cream truck came around, so he got batman ice cream.

 He learned so much during the time I didn't see him, it is amazing.

Coffee = Happiness

After a rough week I gave up and went to the doctor Friday, while I was out I HAD to get coffee for Rog and I at Little Bear. Boy do I miss visiting this place!!  I love to see what cookies Bites and Blessings have dropped off that day.  This one is for you Kynedy!! It is a taco, their cookies are delicious and so creative!

Leave it to Me

Yep, right in the middle of a global pandemic.  Even after going to the doctor and taking 3 pain pills, I still couldn't break the pain.  I am feeling better day by day! 

I sure get a lot of compliments on my mask!!
