Soccer Saturday

What a beautiful day to kick of the soccer season.  AJ played an awesome game, he stayed with the ball most of the time and worked hard to help his teammates.  I of course enjoyed every minute watching him. After the game AJ came with me, we stopped by the store and then headed to Wise Pies for some pizza and then dropped off Sage's birthday gift. We spent some time outside playing and he got to play a couple games of Fortnite.  I took him home later that evening, Sincere was staying all night.

 It was a great Saturday!

He loved watching AJ play soccer!

Cousins!

Let's go!!

Soccer Time

Tomorrow spring soccer season for AJ kicks off, and I am ready!  The weather has been a bit crazy this week so I expect we will have a chilly first game. It was an exciting evening on Thursday for me as I watched ISU play in the NIT championship game, it brought back so many memories of the 1979 season of Larry Bird I spent attending the games with my dad, he would have been so proud of how far they went.  It was a heartbreaking 2-point loss in the end.

Rose-Hulman celebrated 150 years on Thursday, I remember celebrating the first 125th like it was yesterday! I had just started working in the Alumni office.

Sweet brothers!
This is Hobbes! As I watched the ISU championship game I look down and this is how he was sleeping.

NCAA Bracket

For the record.... I am winning, and I have not watched one game!!!  I think I may have to try to catch the U. Conn and Alabama game.
Sure has been a whole lot of fun guessing!

Hello April!

They say April showers bring May flowers!  We started April with plenty of rain so I will be waiting for those flowers in May. My first tulip has bloomed as of yesterday!

Just goosing around at work today while the sun was out!

The soft details on this photo are amazing!

Right outside my office, look at that sunshine peeking through. Hope everyone has an awesome April!

Easter - So Much Fun!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  Ours was pretty sweet! Ashton and Kynedy both worked, so I got up early and delivered coffee and donuts to Ali and AJ.  Ali made a wonderful breakfast and I got to see AJ open his goodies and hunt for eggs. Roger slept in after a late night playing Fortnite!  AJ was spoiled as usual; he was so excited to get V bucks and had most of them spent before I left. I dropped off Kynedy's basket to her at work and ran to get her lunch.  Later I had a wonderful dinner and visit at Monique's, then I stopped by moms to drop off her peeps and have a glass of tea. It was a fulfilling day!

The Easter bunny left many eggs for AJ, he collected lots of candy and a few fun items!

I am loving the robe and boots; he truly is the sweetest!
AJ's basket from Grandmom and Grandpop!

Terre Haute

Sunday morning as I drove to Ali's I took the time to enjoy some of the sights around me. Spring is such a beautiful time of the year, and it is a great time to just slow down and enjoy the beauty!

7th and Wabash, this has always been a beautiful area, peep the courthouse in the background.  This photo turned out beautiful!

12 Points window art!
Appropriate sighting for Easter morning. As I noticed this, I also remembered the significance of this intersection. My sister and her 18-mo. old son lost their life here many, many years ago in a terrible accident.  She left behind 3 children; it was such a devastating time in my life, and I am thankful I had the ability to help care for her children through their childhood!  I miss both my sisters, dearly!

Beauty!
The trees are blooming beautifully!

I am loving the flowers blooming!

Mural on the Terminal, the picture does not do this justice, it is a very interesting piece of artwork.
